The short answer

Onion Dweller Game: MyMy's Rescue Mission is a free first-person action shooter built around a fan parody. MyMy fights Yana clones across school grounds, switching among up to five weapon slots and charging a rage meter that changes how guns behave. A training range, a safe zone, and two sisters give each run structure. It is available now for HTML5 and Windows.

What is Onion Dweller Game: MyMy's Rescue Mission?

Onion Dweller Game: MyMy's Rescue Mission is a free, single-player first-person shooter from developer icily14. It is a non-commercial fan project tied to a fan-made parody of the web series Ongezellig. The setup is a school election gone wrong: MyMy is campaigning to become class representative until Yana, an exchange student from Israel, enters the race. After a brief incident removes Yana from the contest, MyMy seems set to take the title, but a crowd of Yana clones arrives to avenge the original. The fight becomes a rescue mission through school grounds, with more clones appearing every minute. The tone is darkly comic, with blood, swearing, and violence in a cartoon style. The game released on 4 November 2026 and supports English, Dutch, Japanese, Hebrew, and Russian. It is available for HTML5 and Windows, with a browser build that can be played in its HTML5 frame.

How to play

A short training course at a UN shooting range opens the game, with target dummies for trying every weapon. MyMy begins with a toy shotgun that has been upgraded into a real firearm; the rest of the arsenal is scattered around the map and must be reached. A picked-up weapon goes straight into her hands and takes the next free slot on keys 1 through 5. Ammo runs out, so the train-car base is the place to reload in peace. The school grounds are the battlefield. A safe zone beside the school keeps Yana clones out, and some windows can be crossed as shortcuts, though not every window works.

Combat asks for spacing and resource management. Little Yanas do not attack, but close contact drains rage twice as fast. Kickers deliver a forehead flick and a kick that can send MyMy flying, so edges of the map are dangerous. Armed clones are rarer, shoot back, and carry plenty of health. Kills fill the Deportat-O-Meter rage gauge, which fades quickly. While it is active, weapons fire four times faster, bullets pierce every enemy in line, and magazines never run dry. Tougher foes, less efficient weapons, and excessive overkill damage all build rage faster. When the meter empties, ammo is fully restored. Coco can heal and provide a Monster White drink for invincibility and maximum chill; Maya gives a royal beatdown, though something might cheer her up. Death returns MyMy to the spawn point with full HP and a full supply of lead.

Controls

Movement is handled with WASD or the arrow keys, and the mouse turns the view. Space jumps. The left mouse button shoots, strikes, or throws, depending on what is equipped. The right mouse button aims a sniper rifle or detonates C4. R reloads, and the number keys 1 through 5 switch weapons; their order follows the sequence in which the weapons were picked up. Esc pauses and offers a return to the menu. If MyMy gets stuck, the closing bracket key performs harakiri. These bindings cover movement, combat, weapon handling, pause, and the stuck-player escape.

The layout keeps both hands busy: movement and jumping on the keyboard, view and combat on the mouse, and weapon management on the number row. Reloading is a separate key rather than automatic, so a quiet moment at the train-car base matters. The pause menu can send MyMy back to the main menu, which makes Esc more than a temporary stop.

Tips for your first run

Treat the first run as a scouting trip. The UN shooting range lets MyMy try every weapon on target dummies before the school grounds become hostile, and the train-car base is the reload point once ammo starts running low. The safe zone beside the school is a place to catch a breath because Yana clones will not enter it. On the map, watch the edges when Kickers are close: a forehead flick and a kick can send MyMy flying. Little Yanas are not attackers, but close contact drains the rage meter at double speed, so distance matters. Not every school window is a working shortcut, so check a window before treating it as an escape route. Reload before a push, not during one, because the train car is safer than open ground.

  • Pick up scattered weapons early so keys 1 through 5 fill in a useful order.
  • Save weaker guns for rage building when the Deportat-O-Meter is low; less efficient kills feed it faster.
  • Aim for overkill on a strong enemy to double the rage from that kill.
  • Use Coco's healing and Monster White invincibility when pushing through a dense crowd.

Content and replayability

The game is built for solo play, and its replay value comes from how a run is assembled. Five weapon slots fill in pickup order, so the path a player takes through the school affects what is available on keys 1 through 5. The starting shotgun is upgraded into a firearm, while the rest of the arsenal waits around the map. Three enemy types create different pressures: Little Yanas drain rage at close range, Kickers threaten knockback near edges, and Armed clones trade shots with high health. Coco and Maya add destinations inside the school; Coco heals and grants a Monster White invincibility drink, while Maya delivers a royal beatdown and may respond to something that cheers her up. Death is not a hard reset: holy Hyperborea returns MyMy to the spawn point with full HP and full ammo. The training range and safe zone also support repeat attempts without changing the core solo structure.

Presentation and performance

Presentation leans on first-person action and dark humor. The game carries warnings for blood, swearing, and cartoon-style violence, and its fan-parody roots are visible in character art and textures taken from the fan animation. Some character and map visuals were changed for platform policy, which means a few references are altered. The HUD includes a live MyMy reaction at the bottom of the screen, a small touch that shows how enraged she is during a fight. The soundtrack credits include Kevin MacLeod's Pixel Peeker Polka, alongside other library and Creative Commons music. Five language options are available: English, Dutch, Japanese, Hebrew, and Russian. The HTML5 build is playable in a browser frame, and a Windows version is also offered.

Who should play it

This is for players who want a free, single-player first-person shooter with a parody edge and a browser option. Fans of dark humor, cartoon violence, and fan-game riffs on web series will find the tone familiar; the game openly warns about blood and swearing, so it is not for every audience. Players who enjoy managing a rage meter, rotating five weapon slots, and learning enemy spacing will get more from the schoolground setup than those looking for a serious military shooter. The training range and safe zone make it approachable for a first session, while Kickers and Armed clones add pressure for players who push deeper. Coco and Maya give the rescue mission a character-driven reason to explore the school. Anyone who wants a quick HTML5 session or a Windows download can try it without a price barrier.
